    Story Behind the Song
For Keith this song is about relationships, and how you can be around certain people in certain settings that are just indescribable - beyond beauty. It makes him think of this spot at the Gorge in George, WA where we sometimes go and just sit and have tons of fun with one another. For me (Jef) this song is about intimacy with God - in, through, and completely above the natural created world. I allude to verses from the Song of Songs and use other bits of sexual imagery because that's probably the best way that I can express what happens to me within a setting like the one Keith described. That experience of being with a lover and participating in the creation of something so much greater than one's self, yet so wonderfully and amazingly for it - that's what it's all about. That's totally what I feel like I'm facing when the flatlands lay spread out before me under an open summer sky, when I can look out through the edge of the Milky Way galaxy and everything is simply electric. Anyhow, that's what this track is for me and Keith... What's it for you?

    Lyrics
(verse1) In the summer she waits for me there / Where the moon paints the earth liquid white / The static atmosphere breathes / The pulse on this high desert night / Serenity suffers no words / In this far-distant arbor cathedral / Like a lover she whispers for me / Seductive with secrets in her eyes (chorus) I've followed your voice faithfully / To the Navajo soothsayer's garden / Through this fabric of stardust and dreams / In love (verse2) In the summer she waits there for me / Where the earth meets the infinite sky / On the flatlands she kisses the wind / Comin' east on the wings of her breath / I'm ever so near to that womb / Where glory first witnessed conception / Lay me down with Orion's descent / Light the incense, the twilight is ready (chorus) I've followed your voice faithfully / To the Navajo soothsayer's garden / Through this fabric of stardust and dreams / In love (bridge) Come away, oh my lover she sings to me / One kiss and this vision is all I see / Oh angel, let this desire serve / As a garland of roses to put on your head...
