    Story Behind the Song
I wrote this sometime in 1993, I wanted to try and write a positive sounding song about peace, and here's what resulted. It turned out kind of anthem-esque, I think.

    Lyrics
    SPIRITUAL SPRINGTIME

    1. Rise up my brother, listen to a song of light
It's a spiritual springtime pushin' away the long cold night
How can we choose to sleep when slumber's all that's keeping us from
Making an age old dream of peace reality
Wars are raging still, but we'll be waging peace until it covers the earth
Like shining leaves of a single tree

    2. No more excuses, sister it's time we set things right
Love is the fuse but you gotta let your heart ignite
The oneness of mankind -- new sign of the times; that means every culture color comin' together
It's allright to disagree cause unity thrives on diversity
Men lay down your swords, it's better late than never

    3. Maybe you're thinkin' that you don't know where to start
There's a spiritual springtime sleepin' deep in every heart
But how can we choose to sleep when slumber's all that's keeping us from
Making and age old dream of peace reality
Wars are ragin' still, but we'll be waging peace until it washes over the world
Like waves of a single sea

    Rise up my brother
    Wake up now sister
    Rise up O people
    It's a spiritual springtime
