Story Behind the Song
Lyrically, Casca was one of the Roman Legionares who was involved in the murder of Christ. He was the one who drove the spear into his side causing him to fall and be captured. Christ cursed him with imortality and forced him to wander the earth for all of eternity. He cannot die nor live. Legend has it that he was involved in almost every single major battle such as the Revolutionary War, the Hundred Years War, the Crusades, and the murder of Caesar.
Musically, We were looking for a longer song with different rhythms for different parts of the song, kind of a more "...And Justice For All" feel. We also tried a harmony between the two guitars at the end of the song, which I think turned out pretty good.
Lyrics
I bore the spear, that pierced his side
Cursed to kill, to maim, to ride
Fear is all I can provide
But my task i dont despise
Consume the fear thats in their eyes
Pervert your truth into my lies
BLOOD LUST NOT ME NEVER SATISFIED
NO ONE HELPS ME, LET ME LIVE OR DIE
I AM NO ONE HEAR ME BATTLE CRY
I AM EVERYONE WALK AMONG YOUR SIDE
In times to dark to far to recall
I watched the mighty, suffer and fall
Shred the earth, assasins call
I speed the journey to the grave
Never lost, but never saved
To my task remain enslaved
BLOOD LUST NOT ME NEVER SATISFIED
NO ONE HELPS ME, LET ME LIVE OR DIE
I AM NO ONE HEAR ME BATTLE CRY
I AM EVERYONE WALK AMONG YOUR SIDE
The void of forever,is where I roam
Slay for forever, obliterate my home
Killing me never, no rest for me
Peace for forever, can never be
