	Story Behind the Song This is definitely biographical. The first line, "he's logical, she's playful, he's calm and she's unstable" ran through my mind for at least a year before I found the correct hook for the chorus. The chord progression came after all the lyrics were pretty much in place. It was recorded with the guitar and vocal together "live" and the rest of the instrumentation added. Lyrics He’s logical, she’s playful He’s calm and she’s unstable He’s steady in a crisis come what may Her life’s a steady crisis every day His hobbies are all physical She’s longing for the spiritual Their politics diverge at every path And very few things make both of them laugh (Chorus) And yet, and yet, this unexpected pair Feel incomplete without the other there And yet, and yet, if all the truth be known No one can say what makes a happy home He works ten hours and then some She longs for his attention He only has a little time to spare And when he does she isn’t always there She plays on open stages And he’s seen her many phases He likes to keep the home fires burning bright And she knows he’ll be home for her at night If opposites attract these two are fused right to the bone If absence makes the heart grow fonder why not live alone Chorus
