    Story Behind the Song
A friend's neice was going through a tough time and decided that she'd rather feel physical pain than emotional for once. She hurt herself, didn't try to kill herself, but she cut herself. My sister has done the same thing many times, more often than not with the intent of suicide. So I wrote this song for that girl to let her know that life is too precious and that she has a lot left to do and she'll always have a friend, somewhere.

    Lyrics
    Why fade to black
    Fade to white now
    It's so pretty
    I wanna see your face
    In the bright lights
    Of the city

    What would you do
    If I pushed you
    Right back where you belong
    What would you say
    If I told you
    You're worth so much more
    Than you believe

    Just take a breath
    Of the cool air
    And wait there for me
    Just take a breath
    And I'll be there
    Waiting patiently

    You're only sixteen
    Where you going
Just look how far you've got
    Life can be so hard
    Theres no denying
But sometimes that's all you've got

    So just take a breath
    Of the free air
    That's been given to you
    Take a step back
    And see the world

    Why fade to black
You can fade to white now
