	Story Behind the Song Recently I was on a song writing spree. For 72 hour straight I got one idea after another.This is one of the ideas I had. Although I was born in Texas ; our family lived back and forth from south Louisiana to Texas. In that time I saw a few dances on or near the bayou ; and that thought spawned this song.. The words are about a popular creole dance singer and his band. It was written in my home in about an hour. It took only 15 minutes to record in one take.
