	Story Behind the Song Jimmy says: "I wrote this song by just starting to mess around with a 4-track. I recorded all of the music and then started trying to figure something out with vocals. For a while it had totally different lyrics and was called 'Work Something Out'. But eventually, I decided to change the lyrics and that's how it turned into 'Ribbon Around Your Finger'. Lyrics no wonder i had a canker sore after biting a piece of you off my throat is still juggling you around please don't mind if i turn and cough take a ribbon and put it around your finger so that you don't forget why is it i'm standing by the sprinkler but not getting wet? no one for miles but the glare still fills the room but when it dies i hit rewind and slip back into the fumes take a ribbon and put it around your finger so that you don't forget why is it i'm standing by the sprinkler but not getting wet? sunday school closed a little early today i had out my sunday's best listening to the sermon of deacon blankie you were one foot ahead of the rest i'll see you again i'll see you again etc.
