	Story Behind the Song Songwriter's Boris Bengin & Phil Jordan collaborated with me on this one. Boris gave me some lyrics one day and said "Hey Frisco, see if you can do something with this." While rehearsing some songs with fellow tunester Phil Jordan I pulled out the paper and fit the words to a melody I had just come up with. Phil helped out with the chord progression for the chorus (it's always great to have Phil around for stuff like that!). The next day I wrote the lyrics for the last two verses, finished arranging the music & recorded an early version of this thing. This version is the first I recorded with the latest love of my life, my new manolin. Lyrics CURIOSITY They say it killed the cat my friend But I don’t care about that I’ve always had this strange desire To put my hand into the fire I always say yes when I should say no I go a-stompin’ where I shouldn’t go And I never ever look before I leap Before I know it, I’m in too deep Curiosity killed the cat But I don’t care about that I need to know what’s behind the door And if it’s trouble then I only want more If there’s I’m not suppose to know It only makes my curiosity grow I need to find out, I need to shoot the gun I need to spy, I need to look at the sun And if I’m a-wonderin’ what’s it all about I won’t be happy until I find out
