Story Behind the Song
The song was initially co written with singer songwriter marc andru around june 2000 in los angeles. The first version was called "wayward way" and had completely different music, a different chorus, and the most unholiest of sins at the time, a guitar solo! I worked on the original version for a long time and couldn't get it to gel right. One day I came up with a music track, put the old verses on it, and wrote a new chorus and the song was reborn.
Lyrics
the Under Cover Me
Listening to my favorite song, driving down vacant street's
Everything look's so familiar, same old face's, same old place's
Whipping wind come sreeching, blocking out the talking
Everything got quiet the stores closed up for buisness
If they could only see, the undercover me, something inside you'll never know
If they could only see, the undercover me, something inside that never show's
Don't you know I get so tired
Tuesday on the boardwalk, playing song's for charity
Under the heat of the sun the leave's they all hang listless
I stood on the bridge and watched the water flow, underneath
And I realized I am not so in need, and I will never be
If they could only see, the undercover me, something inside you'll never know
If they could only see, the undercover me, something inside that never show's
Don't you know I get so tired
