The composition of which I'm most proud, "Larry's Blues" is dedicated to a good friend and former co-worker. You can almost hear him lumbering around in the bass-line, his sarcastic smile leaving only when he had something too pragmatic to say (guaranteed never to be positive :)
Our co-workers pronounced it the musical equivalent of Larry and loved it, so if you don't like the tune, you'll have no choice but to blame him!!! |

Story Behind the Song
After a few months at my place of employment, I found my music beginning to reflect my mood. One day, as Larry and I were working at a Mercedes dealership trying to hawk pianos on the wealthy customers, I was playing background music and stumbled across a riff that Larry really liked. This was odd, considering his usual reaction to my music was a mixture of polite disdain and absolute horror, so I went with it.
Major composition credit goes to Prof. Tony Caramia at the Eastman School of Music for showing me how to do a real blues :)
