Story Behind the Song
Almost a throwaway - "Ohio Dreaming" is sort of an 80s new wave homage to my days as a teen in the not so trendy midwest. Vulture culture is a reference to how bands that I was riducled for listening to inevitably ended up on t-shirts in the mall 2 years later. ;-)
Lyrics
This sleepy town was full of magic moments. Ran us aground but not before we ruled it. You were dark and yet light. I was lost, never quite right.
Ohio dreaming from oh so long ago
Wind in our hair and no where left to go
Ohio dreaming our own new radio
Vulture culture stole our one man show
That was so long so long ago.
Beat Club, Tuesday, Metro Friday night. Gay bars, punk stars, guitars and cars. I was happy, well not quite. Still there was a strange delight.
Ohio dreaming from oh so long ago
Wind in our hair and no where left to go
Ohio dreaming our own new radio
Vulture culture stole our one man show
That was so long so long ago.
