Story Behind the Song
This is another tune from our bass player who asked me to write some lyrics. He said it was called "Sorry". so I pondered and pondered over what kind of lyrics to use to match this theme. Sorry-a guy telling his girfriend "sorry", no...been there, done that, couldn't come up with anything for a week. Then one day I was driving down the freeway and it hit me! A man facing death and wanting to say he was sorry for the life he wasted...his. He's asking if it is too late. The lyrics flowed after that. This song is still in transition and will be re-released again with our new band members and a whole new twist on the chorus. This recording is not official but I wanted to get it on our site because the song has major possibilities.
Lyrics
Memories of time I spent
losing all my innocents
wondering where the time has went
and what did it all mean?
My hands are numb, my feet are cold
watching as my life unfolds
trading love for only gold
why couldn't I have seen...
Is it too late to change my fate
or can I say...
Is it too late to change my fate
or can I say...
Is it too late to change my fate
or can I say...I'm sorry
for all the things I did not do
All the things I was going to
I take it back, I promise you
just let me try again
They say that you forgive us all
no matter how hard we fall
on my hands and knees I crawl
take away my sin...(chorus)
