Story Behind the Song
This Track I am so proud off Like Snake Charmer on Acid This Is One of the good ones id like to leave behind me
The Rhythm track was built using reason going for a Kind of Two Step Reggae feel. I Used A Kit From A Drum And Bass Loop run a lot slower at 116 Bpm I then pitched it up by 3 to tighten it up added a touch of res to the filter and brought the cut off down a bit to sizzle the drum soundz… The Next Step Was The Bass and Ambient Skank. Giving a psycadelic wave to it all
And the pitch bending notes that weave the melody around and ended up complementing the Indian vocals, She Sounds like a Babe
The Indian Vocals Were the Key to the Next Progression Which Led To the Mid Break
The Vocal was dry and I had a whole bunch of it. A lot was not in key except for the bits you hear, I Ran Them by Live On top and as soon as I heard them fit I cut them out and sequenced them in Cubase SX The Effects Used Then on Those Were a Harmoniser very slightly, a great filtered dub delay, Some Compression to Even out the Peaks, And Finally Some Lovely Ambient Reverb Which just made it come alive. This Led to the Final Sequencing You are listening to now.
Then Came the rest of the percussion, the shaker, hats, Tabla, and additional dub soundz After Mixing all the sounds here and there I preceded with the next half which was very forthcoming in itself because of the vocal lines resolve part which is used from the break into the second half and the outro of the song
The Extra Pads filtering were Thanks To Novation and also the strings elements that was Novation Too! My Trusty Korg Z1 And X3 were used for those wiggly bits and more pads
Adding Progression in Percussive patterns, which was all over the place if you listen carefully although its kind of washed up in the scheme of thing, and sounds like a stoned out of time now and a then hippie playing the Tabla
Enhancers and Valve technology used on most sounds during mix down.
Mixed down To Sound forge on the fly at 48 kHz 24 bit. This Is Because Of the External Synths I Use still I had to sum them with the computers output not the Best Way as My Soundcard is noisy on inputs Toped and Tailed then
Given added sub harmonics and Compression\limiting to the Final Master
Well That Was Me a Hippie at heart and so stoned my eyes couldn’t open much more, but I think I got away with it
This was plucked from the ether and Goes out to Kathy Dub child Dub
