Story Behind the Song
I was in school at the time of the attack. People were talking about some plane crash. I had no idea it was a terroristic attack until 7th period when my teacher took us to a TV to see the breaking news. Even though 9/11 didn't affect me directly it affected me indirectly. It made me feel for those people, it made me mad and it made me feel insecure for months after. I was sitting in my living room one day and I decided to write some music. The curtains were open and our American Flag was visible swaying in the wind. As I played I kept my eyes directly on the flag and after I was focused on my playing I had created a musical depiction tributing the Heroes and the fallen. It took me about 24 drafts before it came to life on paper, but it was worth it. It became the local anthem for the my county and surrounding counties. To this day, I can still see the horrific events that took place that day, but after listening to Echoes of Terror, you feel soothed in some way. Please if you listen to this song, take time to pray for the families who lost loved ones, the fallen, and the heroes.
