You sell out on one thing, you sell out on them all. It's only a matter of time, they blow up in your face.

    Story Behind the Song
Different situations where one would wish that things could be like they were in the past were the inspiration for this track. Recorded over 3 week period a little bit at a time. Written in a day.

    Lyrics
remember those days where plans fell through
nobody took back what they said they'd give to you
a time before all those verses 'bout heart break and betrayal
where friends came first never apart mistake enabled
carefree was how we lived never trippin how much we'd give
and once we hit a struggle instincts told us be protective
then assumptions were made trust rapidly decayed
wholesome had a new meaning something that would never stay
we now live like we've been hurt and won't be vulnerable again
rule 1 says not to open up accept the fact you can't defend
what they send to cause you torment until the end
avoid the entrapment don't ever associate with them
the people who conspire inafamous who play with fire
tell ya something to your face behind your back call you the liar
it makes ya sad to think back to the time all was fine
tippin back together laughin at your own diss rhymes

    Chorus1:

now I find myself stuck here with no one to turn to
the volatile people who I now depend on
replaced those who I myself gave up upon
so guess that I should blame it on me

I once thought that I knew how girls worked I got my heart broke
and ever since I held it against her when we spoke
I sacrificed a piece of me so that I could keep her pleased
meanwhile the boys held back from tellin' me tgo just leave
as I showed up for a minute lettin' em know I'd still chill
but they blew up as I left because the girl was in the middle
replacin' em every time the anger shoulda been a sign
I carried on with a smile draggin' it out a couple miles
then the girl took off two years just hit the rocks
and then the fellas looked at me cuz i didn't deserve to talk
tryin' to join in on the scene after bein' with the queen
bein' gone for so long without seein' what it means their view of me was shifty, just like my plans
too little far to late to try and justify my stance
they say things change some for better some for worse
the worst when all seems fine blowin' up in one burst
it's complicated, bein' loved and bein' hated at the same time
realizin' you can't make it all go over well
    the sacrifices will expell
the ones who get the shaft leave for feelin' witheld

    Chorus2:
I still find myself stuck here with no one turn to
the volatile people I have given up on
please take me back, I know I've done wrong
so I guess you'll do the same thing to me

hahaa hahaa that's not it at all
I wrote these lines and felt like I'd been left behind
there was nowhere left for me to release my mind
I was assigned a click by my visions like I'm a trick
now I realize that mistake but there's no side for me to take

    Chorus1
