	Story Behind the Song this song began as a writing excercise with the members of my old band. basically we each wrote lyrics with green forest being the inspiration we were to use. due to other circumstances, within a month of this excercise, the bad dissolved. but i was not about to give up what i felt was the great beginnings to a song.. using my home computer and protools free, began recording. the drums are a preset beat off a yamaha keyboard. all the guitars were played by myself. the synth line was done on the computer and then looped. this song was built one track at a time, and while i was still fairly new to protools. i can't remember how many takes it took, but considering everything, i had the rough song done in maybe a day or two. since then i have tweaked and cleaned it up to where it is today. Lyrics sailed so many seas crossed through foreign lands enjoyed so many places but still looking for home slept on pillows of kings and slabs of concrete never forgotten a place or a face i've met i've been searching i've been looking for a place to call my own where my soul can finally rest among the memories that i've loved i will find my green forest had so many good times and as many bad ones wrinkles of my smiles and the stains of my tears now among the tall trees and the bed of the forest floor i have found my place a place of peace forevermore
