The Nogoodniks are such nice boys. They're also the personal musicians to The Crispy Family Carnival Spectacular -- Denver's only working sideshow. Fire. Glass. Nails. Ukulele. This is the theme song with an extra added bonus: a thanks but no-thanks verse dedicated to feminist essayist Laura Mulvey extolling the virtues of our favorite Hollywood bombshells of yesteryear. Call us fetishistic scopophyles but, we still think its fun to look at girls. Our good friends on the modern burlesque revival circuit agree. |

Story Behind the Song
This version was recorded live, in one take at The Mote: just up the mountain from Lyons, Colorado. Rusty Slowbadfingers wrote the chords, plays guitar, and made breakfast. Ukulele Loki is guilty for the vocals, melody and words, as well as ukulele, micro-jug and slide whistle. Cedric Rainwater played Bass and drove the truck. That's Jeff "the water man" on washboard and hernia.
Lyrics
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome.
Welcome also all you boys and girls.
In one moment, we've a show to shock you -- guaranteed to abnormalize your world.
It's weird stuff that my family's made of.
Peculiar, outlandish, dare I say: strange?
We perform feats bordering on miraculous.
These scenes are certifiably deranged.
We've got fire and broken glass, pins and needles, if you ask. It's bizarre, The Crispy Family Carnival - SPECTACULAR!
(instrumental breaks)
She's all that and she's all this.
She's all the and a bag of chips
She's a looker, she's a cooker,
and she gives the finest kiss.
She's all curves from the rings in her hair,
all the way down to her derriere,
lips like genetically-modified grapes
and a rack that attracts like bananas to apes.
Thank you Dr. Mulvey for the pleasure
but I'm so tired of feeling guilty.
Though I read your books in my time of leisure,
I'm still a product of my biology.
