	Story Behind the Song Started out as an excercise in Latinized odd meter vamp. Usually odd meters are tough to get dancers involved, this was an attempt to create a groove that could be danced (folks actually dance at live shows) The lyrics are just fun, calling to disregard conventional dance steps and just "do your thing" Composed in Boston MA in 1999, the song took one hour to write. The recording took a couple of hours with live rhythm section and horn and vocal overdubs. Lost track of the amount of takes but it was a pretty smooth ride Lyrics Translated from Spanish Move your hips 'cause this groove is burning Enjoy it your own way 'cause this groove you can dance in any way you feel like dancing
