	This is a 'first take' on the first song I ever recorded in a professional studio. It opens the upcoming album to be entitled, AMERICAN GOTHIC. "Cross Avenue" has a poetic down-hardedness that still has heart.

Both night and day down on Cross Avenue, I'm waiting for someone. And friends were saying I was wasting time like a washed-up poet who refused to rhyme but sometimes your heart can know what your thoughts don't wanna mind.
