    Story Behind the Song
7 years ago I learned about my best friend from highschool's brother who died of a heroin OD. I wrote a poem about it and then a couple years later I was messing around with a sweet chord progression and knew it had to become a song! I fit the poem into the verses and wrote a new chorus to fit the chord progression and came up with a tragic love story about a mother-son relationship through love drugs and disapointment. I asked a local christian band-F.A.S.T. to help me bring the song to life which took quite a few months due to hectic schedules but they breathed life into the song for the first time and now it has been re-recorded with two band members from the original recording. Thank you Shane Mast for inspiring such an awesome guitar solo, I will always cherish that!

    Lyrics
I'm in this hotel wondering where the hell
my life went to and why
night after night I don't even fight
it's easier just to get high

    spendin my days wastin away
and I'm tired of going nowhere
    I've slipped through the cracks,
I'm not commin back and there's
    only one who cares

    Please don't be mad mom
    please don't be sad mom
I'm headed to a far better place

All the times you cried cause I never tried
well now you can dry your face
    just one more time...

One more time the tears fall
    One more time that's all
One more time it will be
    and then you'll be free
    and so will I

Remember the day when dad went away
your smile went away for years
then I went to jail and you posted bail
well you turned but I still saw your tears

Please don't be sad mom, please don't be mad
I'm headed to a far better place
all the times you cried cause I never tried
well now you can dry your face
    just one more time...

One more time the tears fall
    One more time that's all
One more time it will be
    and then you'll be free

Alone in this room, my haven my tomb
and I'm flyin higher than high
    I know it's a crime but it's
    just one more time
and I'm sorry I never said good by.
