Story Behind the Song
Written in science class with john lennon in mind (hence the first line) about the war on iraq, right before it was officially declared. the intro riff was written forever ago for a ballad i never finished,m and it just went form there... recorded in johnny's basement.
Lyrics
War is over, if you want it
The end is near, we only taunt it
Impeach the enemy, win your freedom
Drain the oil from his kingdom.
(Why don’t you) Draft me!
Nothing better to do
Draft me!
But mindlessly serve you
Draft me!
I’ll pointlessly die
Draft me!
So the world can fry
They say he ditches diplomacy, though
You know that he’s ditched democracy
Wants to free the world of fascism
He should kill himself, to complete his mission
A world without countries, would be a peaceful place
Take out religion, long live the human race
Coalition of violence, isn’t that large
Bullies should not be put in charge
Unilateral war, fueled by ignorance
Killing makes a crime of innocence
