	Story Behind the Song Written in Nashville, 1997. In those days, a crew of us gathered, usually at Tim's to jam after the night shift at the Fifth Quarter Steakhouse. We made several attempts at collaborating, with not much success. I was used to writing alone. Tim and I sat down to try to come up with something kinda mountain/folkie. I started with the chords. Then one night...after being inspired, wrote the verses around the idea for the chorus I had come up with. Tim was inspirational on the final chorus. Erik came up with the cool little intro to the intro. I was extremely sick when I recorded this. I think the vox came out pretty damn pretty for barely being able to speak. So it took a few takes. A bandmate at the time, Matt Newbold let me use his Sony Minidisc 4 Track to lay down the tracks-I used 2 for the acoustics and 2 for the vox. Thanks to Duane "Full Force" Gayle for the mix.
