Story Behind the Song
This track was written, sequenced and recorded in 4 days under the influence of several 24 packs of Mountain Dew, nicotine, microwave burritos, and 15-24 hour days in front of the gear at Lee Damschröder's NöiseFloor Studios, which was at that time located in Grand Junction, CO.
The song's title came to me as a bit of a stab at Lee. We had a number of very long arguments about the Y2K Bug (and his paranoia of it bring our civilization and society as we know it to a screeching, screaming, bloody halt). The title is both a rib and a stab o' smarminess at Lee, as well as a generally irritating poke in society's eye for being afraid of an armageddon that probably will never come.
This track sounds especially good coming off of Vinyl, preferably from very loud 70,000 watt+ PA speakers. Convince your local DJ to order a copy on CD or Vinyl today !!!
Lyrics
make up your own. this is an instrumental. Imagine beautiful, haunting imagery of someone running through a dim, dark, Phil K. Dick-style city, drawn not of rock and steel, but of Japanese Animation. A private detective trying to track down that last clue that will solve his case.
Picture a huge party, with lots of people dancing to this track, and you in the middle of the crowd.
Imagine yourself screaming down the road at 150+mph/241.4+kmh on a very fast japanese sports bike, feeling like you're being followed by something evil and treacherous.
picture anything you want. that's the beauty of instrumentals.
