In the style of the "Titanic" love theme,'Lots of My Love' is a patriotic song of love and hope for those who made the supreme sacrifice on 9/11, also in the first WTC attack on 2/26/93, for those who will sacrifice for our nation, and for their families and friends.
'Lots of My Love' is also a song for everyone, for now and for time eternal. For believers of God this song can be a spiritual message. Perhaps it can just mean the endless giving of love from one to another, no matter who or what the age, relationship, or distance apart- enduring whatever comes along in this life, and pondering what lies beyond. All profits are being donated to relief foundations for families of our nation's police and EMTs and to the International Association of Firefighters Burn Foundation. Story Behind the Song
Steve Marquardt is a former emergency medical technician of 19 years and a retired licensed respiratory care practitioner. He now serves as Chief of the Northeast Pennsylvania Homeless Outreach Patrol based in Scranton, an all-volunteer uniformed search and rescue program serving the homeless and the poor of the streets. His Father was also a police officer and Army veteran of World War II and his mother was a civilian employee of the Navy at Newark, NJ.
In June 1978, six New York City fire fighters were killed in a supermarket fire in Brooklyn. Steve was a member of the Moscow, PA, Volunteer Fire Department and attended their funerals with two of his fellow members in dress uniform. At that time, the World Trade Center Towers had been opened for less than three years. After the conclusion of the services, Steve and his fellow volunteers went into Manhattan and toured both towers and remembered the kindness shown to them by WTC staff, residents, and other visitors. In the following years, Steve and his family members were regular WTC visitors. While those dress uniforms worn by them are no longer around, Steve has always managed to keep his badge and dress cap worn on that day 25 years ago at the WTC and is presenting them back as a memorial to the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department and the local community.
But 'Lots Of My Love' is also meant to be a love song for everyone and for all time, even if they're not related to a hometown hero that was lost- about what this life is really is, and pondering what may lie beyond!
Lyrics
What's happened? Are things dark?
Did you think I'd forget you?!
What's going on, what's in your heart?
Are you hurting? Well I'm hurting with you.
Look at me, my eyes are on you.
Just no way I won't be there
To see you through.
Just no way your love for me won't
Ever be enough.
And now I'm giving you Lots of My Love!
Why do you think what you think you
See is all that there is to be?
Well look again, but now through my eyes,
See it's all there for you and for me!
Now you know my strength ends your tears,
It'll be our hope and be our joy for all the years.
And you know our friends and loved ones
Will be waiting up above…
So for now just take it in, Lots of My Love!
What happened? See we're back again
Forever… you and I!
Look at us, their eyes are on us.
Shine for all time and all the world to see!
In every way you'll always be the one
I'm thinking of,
Ever more than just enough, this is to you,
Lots of My Love!!!!
