Story Behind the Song
I never would have thought I would be inspired to write a cheesy love song, but sure enough, I did.
Lyrics
(One, two, three, four)
I lie there in the park, and my only concern is when it gets dark
We can move to the grass, or we can stay on the slide
We can look at the clouds, in the shade we can hide
I never stop to check the time, this moment is fragile, it is sublime
We've worked this hard to get this far, so when dawn fades dusk, we'll look at the stars
I'll be naive, and I know that you will laugh with me
When I find out I'm wrong cuz you're cool with that, and then within five minutes I can guarantee you that we'll end up lame...
I'm not used to these things, I'm not comfortable showing you my feelings
But I know that you care and I do too, and that's a first for me and probably you
So let's be self-conscious and condescending, at least we'll be that way together
I will try my hardest to make you happy uninformedly forever.
(Neat humming break thing)
I'll be naive, and when the dust settles I won't care either
Cuz no matter what I know you'll be there
Under no consequence, just cuz I care
I'll treat you nicely with the things I can share
I'll be naive, and when the dust settles I won't care either
Cuz no matter what I know you'll be there
Under no consequence, just cuz I care
I'll treat you nicely with the things I can share
(repeat x alot)
