	Story Behind the Song I had lived with a stepfather for 7 years who had kept me in a state of fear of him the entire time. I had very little self respect or dignity... I became afraid of everything. Then I became aggressively angry, rejecting being oppressed by a dominant father figure. After being caught at either end of the emotional spectrum... I confronted him and simply forgave him and let go of all that hatred and anxiety. It was one of the most liberating moments of my life. That is what defines the sound and structure of this piece.
