Story Behind the Song
After having been in a relationship with someone for 6 years (from age 16 - 22)and practically growing up together... the relationship ended abruptly and not on good terms. There was talk of seeing other people which caused the sadness, anger, and confusion that became the "burning razor-like thoughts". Now for the first time available to fans of darkambient music and of the Unquiet Void.
Lyrics
Lay your body down
here where I can see your glory glistening in the firelight,
Glistening with anticipation
Shivering with desire.
I can smell your vulnerability
and it is driving me insane.
So fragile, so willing
passion and disgust run throughout me.
Yet I am what you are...
even in my darkest mode,
fragile and willing,
and yet afraid of taking too much.
Of stealing your fire
and leaving you with nothing.
Empty,
Fulfilled,
and cold,
forever.
And yet I want so badly to feel your flesh on mine.
The ecstacy of friction
The recalling of facades.
Violence and penetration,
clawing, biting, screaming, scratching...
Is this what you want?
Is this what I want?
And it's never like the fantasy
and my mind cannot handle the deception
although there is comfort here beneath it all.
I want so badly to let my demons out for you.
Burning and razorlike these are the thoughts in my head.
Burning and razorlike, burning and razorlike.
