A country type song composed using a composite of characters I know, one of them a local TV anchor that typlify the cluelessness of some people. This song is really about pop culture. |

Story Behind the Song
I wrote this shortly after 9.11 when I saw a variety of "Soccer Mom's" who started wearing American flag t-shirts, I did even see one with a red white and blue bunting on the antenna of her cell phone! and also the appearance of flags all over these huge SUV's (I call them UAV's; Urban Assault Vehicles!). I have been on the highway when these women with huge vehicles go racing past,(I call them "jet jockey's") all by their lonesome, not paying attention, talking on their cell phones in rush hour traffic and generally just being a nusiance to traffic. I also used a local TV anchor as kind of a model as she is typical of these types of women. This is not a slam on women or SUV's, but more the very shallowness of these people and their "need" to be in fashion and how tragic events can become a "cause celebre". This is probably the 4th or 5th take of this song as I was trying to keep it short and witty. A cute caustic ditty.
