Bass driven, distorted chorus. The bass plays the rythm (acoustical picking) for this song during the verse and then the guitars go into distortion for the chorus. It's about fitting in, being accepted and what really is normal.

    Story Behind the Song
Yet another tune from our bass player Josh. The verses are beautiful and the chorus rocks. At the time of this song I was going through some controversy on the way I looked and was upset that it even mattered, thus the words to this song!

    Lyrics
Does the color of my skin
    make any difference
and if you could change me now
    is there a preference.

If the world could only see
    see what's inside of me
and if I could ask one thing
I know it would have to be

    Why do you judge me
    where's you're credentials
    why don't you trust me
    what makes you so special

If I let my hair grow long
does that change who I am
does it make me right or wrong
does it depend on where I am

If I pierce or mark my skin
what would you think of me
there's a person deep with in
    open your heart and see

    But you still judge me
    where's you're credentials
    why don't you trust me
what makes you so special(guitar solo)

If I change the way I look
    would you accept me now
I suppose you wrote the book
    on "conforming know how"

He's normal but she's quite strange
where do you draw the line
    if conforming is insane
perhaps then we would all be fine

    but you still judge me
    where's you're credentials
    why don't you trust me
what makes you so special (2x)
