This is a demo version. Song itself could be world fusion, jazz fusion, new age, film score theme; technically it's electronic. One of these days I'd love to at least re-record the piece with a real trumpet and strings. Composed and recorded in 1998. |

Story Behind the Song
This piece reflects my love for (1) Latin-tinged jazz and (2) pizzicato. I have a fascination for pizzicato in orchestral works probably because I don't play violin, cello, or another orchestral stringed instrument capable of that kind of pizzicato sound. So I really took advantage of highlighting the technique in this piece.
Composed and performed using the Kurzweil K2000 and Digital Performer. It's too bad that the trumpet preset sounds like it does, but it worked okay for the purpose of a demo. In any case I'm proud of the B section (where the pizzicato comes in) and how well it works with the rest of the piece.
