"Rolling" is a medium-down tempo song with a ballad feel. This rendition of the song starts out with a piano solo intro for a full chorus. Then the saxophones come in where the 40 bar ABA melody is played. This is followed by a full chorus tenor solo and alto solo. There is then a reprise of the melody, and at the end, there is a piano solo to take the song out. We hope you enjoy... "Rolling." |

Story Behind the Song
This is possibly the Fat Four's (and Fat Five's) oldest song. James composed it over the summer of 2002, before the group started, and was introduced to the musicians at their first practice. The song has been played at the Fall Festival, NHS Induction Ceremony, Shockoe Bottom Arts Center, and at the West End Garden Club's Spring Party. This is one of our favorite tunes and is sure to be played more in the future.
