Story Behind the Song
Keith originally wrote this music on an 8-track trying to musically emmulate a thunderstorm. After Jenn heard it and loved it (who dosent) she likened it to the emotional storm of finding out who your lover really is. Leave it to chicks to be emmotional. Sadly enough the lyrics fit perfectly to the turgid storm swarming around them.
Lyrics
Electric, you always run before, never shocking.
Brilliant, you always left me blind.
I touched you and you will always find a way to blame me.
Daylight, embraces me from your night.
And if I get inside you now,
Could be something Im missing.
And if I were reaching out,
Would be something Im wishing.
I never saw you really
Now I know.
Chorus:
Coming out of the rain X4
Dreaming is just a waste of sleep,
Days dying.
Imagined, just like a summer song.
Believing, is just a waste of faith
You blame me for everything ever begun.
And if I get inside you now,
Could it become a habit?
You never knew me until now I know.
And if youre still holding out,
should I take it for granted?
I never knew you until now, I know.
Chorus
Solo
Electric, you always run before nver shinning.
Ive never seen you in this light.
Tongue tied up, you always run before
and never listen
to what youre saying in my mind.
And if Im talkin to you now,
Could be something imagined.
You leave whispers in my head, I know.
And if Im turning around,
Could be something tragic.
Can I get near you now?
I know.
CHORUS
