Story Behind the Song
I wanted to write a song for my wife and pour all my feelings into the music.
Without lyrics, I am opening myself through the imagination of the listener.
I wrote this song in 1985/86. I really don't remember. It was first recorded on a small eight track analog machine at Lenartz Studios in St. Louis, Mo. Years later(2000), I re-recorded the song at EARS Studios in Fenton, Mo with Billy Engel. Tom Murphy had access to an Aleis ADAT machine and recorded his solos at his house. Billy mixed it together and there you have it. What I really like about the song is the harmony mandolin parts. Tom Murphy is such a smooth player with great improvisational chops.
