Zapruder's first attempt at a more Industrial direction. Influenced by early Manson and NIN musically. ACS era Manson and latter-half "The Wall" in concept. Screaming never before heard in a Zapruder Eyes song. A vignette from the album "Gloweyes", about the life of Conspectus, a creature born only with the gift of sight, and the varying experiences he absorbs. Read annotated lyrics to see how this song fits in to the story.

    Story Behind the Song
Concept = At this point in the story, Conspectus (AKA Gloweyes) has found himself the object of worship by a group of people who dedicate themselves and their dangerous ceremonies to him, and this scares him. The main lyrics are thought and communicated to them. He wants them all to understand their own worth, as all the individuality they possessed is now gone, and the art and human expression that he admires has all but ceased to exist around them. The crowd speaks to him ( " " ) in chants of praise as the voice of one ( ' ' ) steps out and voices his unique opinion. Out of fear, the sacrificers give this free-spirit to Conspectus in a sacrificial ceremony, paralleling the self-sacrifice of a girl who attempts to reach him through her suicide. Their screams are heard intertwined as Gloweyes shudders and turns away. The song following this one on the album is the paradox of these two martyrs told from their eyes and the sacrificers.

Application = We all possess gods that we enslave ourselves to, be them money, television, drugs, or relgion. We need to learn that we all have the power to create art. Art is our expression of humanity, and the only way that we can touch our souls through senses. Everyone possesses different talents through which they manifest their very own unique expression. The moment we begin to value a greater force over ourselves, the expression and uniqueness dies, and we become machines. Nihilism isn't a bad or selfish thing any more than low self esteem is an honorable and wanted thing. The Christians sing hymns about how worthless, weak and sinful they are. Worship yourself.

Musically = This song and all of its components were completed in one take each. The whole process took about 15 minutes. This is not amazing, because the song has no real structure and is basically just a lot of noise. Thanks to loopology.com.

    Lyrics
    bury your god

    you are your god

"hear this, fear this, Almighty Fearless"

    try to hear

    'now that I can see
what can I have to see
    dead live consciencely
and I'll give what I get
    here we cope again
    holding onto holy screams
    banned technology
    what to say'

    there is no time
    hiding in tears
    there is no life
    hiding in you

    (the cry of the sacrificed)

    .egnezol taorht a deen I

    (the shouts of the sacrificers)
