Story Behind the Song
recorded at The Recording Workshop, studio E. Jon Wyner who's worked some David Bowie re-mastering, was kind enough to add a little "Alley Trumpet" to the mix. I added some production ideas learned from a producer in New York. he didn't wanna produce this song. He said it sounded too much like John Mellencamp. I didn't see a problem.
Lyrics
1. People all over the world, they've got their own problems
People sometimes can't see the things close to them because they've got their own problems
Latchkey boys and girls making their own rules and meals
Looking for mom & dad to show how they really feel
-
CHORUS: But, I'm not feeling bad if I'm not
daddy's boy
Doesn't hurt me much if I'm not
daddy's boy
-
2. Self esteem and what you mean must be good for something
Burning flames inside your heart, and where you come from
And, what does it matter anyway if friends don't aggree with you
And what does it matter anyway
if there's no one for you, to take your hand, to show your life a loving plan
To let you know that your alright, that all your pain dissolves with light, yeah.
-

3. Winds keep blowing, yeah, oh things go on
Women lose their husbands, careers must flow on
Men lose their wives, they just don't feel as strong.
They say when things come along so easily
How could it be wrong, how could it be wrong.
-
3. People all over the world, they've got their own problems
People sometimes can't see the things close to them because they've got their own problems
Self esteem and what you mean must be good for something
Burning flames inside your heart, and where you come from
