	Story Behind the Song I originally wrote this back in 1993 when I was 19. Strange thing is, I wasn't even in a relationship when I wrote this. It was just an eerie sense of things to come I figure. I had a friend who gave me the line "Everytime I dream at night, I see your face and everytime it's quiet, I hear you call me name" collaborating in his basement. We orginally recorded this on his old Fostex 4 track cassette recorder with nothing but an accoustic guitar, but I redid it in the summer of 2001 with my set up. Nice to finally have the sound I wanted finally recorded after only 7 years. Great song if there's ever been anyone in your life that you swore you wouldn't give up on, or having to watch someone move on. Lyrics I don't know where to start. I only know you're gone. It's been a year since you left and it looks like you've moved on. You broke my heart one time too many and I told you good bye. You asked me to forgive you, you asked for one more try. But I walked away with my back to you so you wouldn't see me cry. I promised I'd love you forever and that I never lied. I didn't want to say goodbye. So many things went wrong, yet I wished we'd never end. I guess love doesn't last forever and I'm all alone again. Everytime I dream at night, I see your face. Everytime it's quiet, I hear you call my name. The pain that's inside my heart, time can't erase. Even though you're gone, no one could ever take your place. I didn't want to say goodbye.
