	Story Behind the Song Initially, this song was inspired by rain. Rain can be soft, hard, cold, warm, stinging, gentle, misty, blinding and more. Rain can occur on a sunny day or in the cold of a winter night. Rain seems to transform everything it touches, whether in cleansing or destruction. These functions of rain, eventually, comandeered the writing of this piece. The result is a story beginning with the tension of an approaching storm followed by the crash of thunder marking its arrival, followed by the downpour and the end of the storm. These events give way and allow for one to reflect upon the memory of the storm and to consider the renewal of all things, both externally and internally.
