Song about a mistake I made six years ago. Despite the sturm und drang, it's nice to know that happy endings finally seem near.
CD: plus/minus   Label: Undie Rawk Records
    Credits: Chris on everything... twice.

    Story Behind the Song
I hurt a girl, and over the next six years I realized how much that hurt me. I'm the snake she shouldn't have trusted. There is at least one reference to a Cure song in here. Every instrument (and vox) was run through some combination of Tubescreamer and early 8bit Digital Delay straight into the 4-track. The double tracked guitar solo was my best impersonation of Fleetwood Mac. Not a very good one, but my best one.

    Lyrics
    Seconds dialating
    Waiting for reprieve
    Huddled in a dark room
    Teardrops flood an empty street
    Always begging more,
    Of what, you're never sure
Wear your bloody heart right on your sleeve

    Candlesmoke and incense
Are all I've found in here,
Trade the shortest month in for 1000 years.
If life is worth the living,
Good things are worth the wait
Take it out of my hands leave it up to fate.

    Impress me with your intellect
    Bite me with your tongue
Inspire me with your big ideas
And tell me when we're having fun.
    One so beautiful should know
    To never trust a snake,
One so full of heart should hope
    To be that fake

February lay me down, I know
A bed of flowers sleeps beneath this
    Fresh blanket of snow.
The sun reaches out just as far as it can,
But warm rays, they don't touch
    This Godforsaken land.
