|
A ten minute ska jam featuring Mr. Graham Patzner (Trumpet, piano), Mr. Josh Muller (guitar, back up vocals, ska noises), Mr. Cameron Clark (Bass, ska noises), Mr. Andrew Vahey (drums and such), and Mr. Tim Silva (Lead vocals). |

Story Behind the Song
This was the first official recording by Jammin' Minki. We jammed this one out for 10 minutes before we decided that the bass line will be stuck in our heads forever so it was time to quit. Then while recording the vocals, graham jumped onto the piano and did some crazy piano-ing.
Lyrics
On the corner of 17th
A strange lady came to me,
Dressed all up in white
From the tip of her toes
To the back of her teeth.
(She said)
"Boy what are you doing in front of me?
Go do what you must while your still 17."
I told the lady in white
I didn't get what she meant.
I asked her to explain
what she meant
by what she said
(She said)
"Boy what are you trying to find out from me?
Go find your self while your still 17."
(Guitar/trumpet/piano fun!)
I told her "Such a beautiful day
should bring no complaints."
I said, "but there's no way
to see tomorrow's face."
[Everybody now]
I looked up at her and she smiled at me.
She said, "Boy your pretty smart for a boy 17!"
I never saw that lady again
but I'll never forget what she said...
