    A live take from a show at the Tree of Life Cafe in Mansfield, CT. The volume may need to be turned up a bit as this recording is straight from the PA and it was on a very low level due to the size of the venue.

    Story Behind the Song
    Snapshot was written over a period of about a month and origianlly with the guitar in an alternate tuning. It was converted to standard tuning and is in constant flux, just like most of my songs. The lyrics are fairly self explanatory.

    Lyrics
    Pack it up and head west
    In his minivan with AC.
    Cheap hotels in detroit
    with all-night-xxx
    and now you're free.
    Winter's air was warmed by desire
    'Till that summer came along
    And tore you apart.

    I took your face and I
    Wrapped it up in plaster.
    I've got it hanging on the wall to my room.
    Sometimes I touch the inside;
    It feels so stale and fragile.
    Reminmd me of the way things just fall apart.

    I'm calling you.
    Can you hear me now?

    Well you walk out the door
    And you take it while you can.
    And be gone now.
    Yeah you're gone now.

    I won't care any more
    I'll take you as you are.
    But you're gone now.
    So be gone now.

    You won't play my song.
    Cause I never had a song.
    So why have you got six?

    Well i never looked away
    Red hair fell in your face,
    But I never looked away
    But you were never looking back.
    But once.
    Won't you kill me only once.

    So I thought I'd read your mind
    From the screen of my roommate's laptop.
    Instead I'd just twist mine and
    Fall apart.
    And fall apart.

    I drew your picture
    From a roll of photographs and I
    I was one of them;
    A snapahot from your once attentive eye.
    I was one of them;
    Just a snapshot from your once attentive eye.
