	I rarely do cover songs, however this song is a song recorded by American Idol First Runner Up Clay Aiken. It is available on Clays new CD Single and NOW in stores everywhere. I was so impressed with his performance of this song that I just had to give it a try also. I hope you like it.

	Story Behind the Song THIS IS THE NIGHT (Artist Clay Aiken) I am honored to do this song tribute to one of the finest singers to come out of both of the American Idol competitions so far. I knew Clay Aiken was the best singer but after doing his song, I have a brand new respect for him. The song he chose to release as his first single shows off his fantastic vocal range and his ability to harmonize with himself with some very difficult vocal parts. I hope Clay continues to stay on top in the years to come.
