	Story Behind the Song Basically, this song is a stew of tortured memoirs of a middle class kid from the burbs. Lyrics Peering into my life I see so much wasted time Sometimes it feels like I’m starting over I can remember when everything seemed so clear When growing up felt like it was so far away But now I’m finding things will never be the way I always hoped It feels like I’ll always be reaching I wonder how long I can climb this burning rope Before I fall I'm disenchanted with reality This isn’t how I pictured things at all.
