A love song from one geek to another. Short and sweet. This is an acoustic demo. Pop and really only three chords. |

Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song in like 20 minutes during junior year of college. I basically took 3 typical chords (G, C, and D, but sharp) and tried to come up with a cool melody with just three chords, which isn't total rock science. But it is hard for me.
Anyway, here it is. I like the bassline. On this demo, I tried to make things a little more interesting by making the two guitar parts sorta go back and forth and left and right on what you'd normally do with one guitar. Then they start coming together.
Sorry for not hitting the high note on the solo. The song is supposed to come to a halt, but I held the last note. Oops!
Lyrics
How am I gonna try to say it?
Every time I don't I lose a minute,
then I gain another to overplay it:
something that I should be proud to admit.
I'm such a wimp I feel sorry for my friends.
But I'm gonna do it.
I swear I'll say it out loud next time.
'Cause I love you, and I don't know how to tell you.
'Cause I love you, and I don't want to lose you ever.
Butterflies soar around my stomach.
How can I come and overcome it?
I'm so afraid I'm gonna vomit,
all over your shoes and your bag of comics.
I know you love me,
but am I really sure I do?
