	Story Behind the Song In new relationships, there is a period of time where you are still feeling one another out...the problems begin when you start to realize that you have real feelings and love is inevitable. This leads to miscommunications and an akwardness that can sometimes be crippling. Letting the past go and moving forward are the central themes to the lyrics. The song was written in the bathroom, yes, the bathroom. The chords kind of pour out without much thought, but I heard the potential for a nice crescendo into the chorus and went for it. I nailed the chorus first then built the rest of the song around it. This was recorded digitally using Cool Edit Pro with the mic, guitar and keyboard plugged directly into the sound card. I recorded the guitar and vocals together to ensure I didn't burst the tempo. I added the keyboards to fill in the quiet spaces and accentuate the movement into the chorus. I am particularly happy with the transition out of the first chorus into the 3-4 verses (sweet drop-off). Total recording time was about 1 hr with another hour adding effects and eq'in the file.
