	Story Behind the Song This song was written about one of my first experiences with acid. We were parked in a station wagon on a little dirt road in the suburds in the middle of winter and there was about a foot of snow on the ground. I could swear that my best friend was trying to choke me, so I tried to kick out the windshield. I still haven't figured out if he was or not. Lyrics It was a lovely first trip, parked the car off the road. We'd dropped a few hits about an hour before. The sun was out to shine, the snow was a foot deep. The radio sang us all into a wide awake sleep. We are blinded by the glare of the road. We've dosed up our brains and we're ready to go. School's out, at least for us it is. Don't bother us 'cuz we're the wonder kids. Next thing I know, I am gasping for breath. My best friend's hands are trying to choke me to death. The look in his eyes was colder than the snow, but it seemed to show me all I needed to know... Tried to kick out the windshield, but my legs were to weak so my fists made it clear that I was ready to leave. The snow felt like milk as I threw myself in. What a fine day it was for an ice cold swim.
