I got the title from a short story that I read about Asian cultures. Hikikomori= Asian children locking themselves away from their parents and the world. They go into their rooms, and stay for extreme amounts of time. Reserchers have concluded that the alienation the children feel is a direct result of how the society itself is very insecure, and emotionally inverted. No eye contact is very important in this culture-b/c of the fear that conflict, or a vunerable moment may occur. Sad, yet very real. I created this song with all of that in my thoughts. The song to me, translates that feeling. |
