Story Behind the Song
The main riffs for this song were written in our guitarists' basement in the summer of 2000. We casually worked on it, and completed it over the course of a month. This song is basically saying that death is an inevitible part of life, and thinking or anticipating it is pointless - LIVE YOUR LIFE.
Lyrics
I strike the young, I strike the old
I can creep through the night and plunder your soul
I’m devious in the way I act
I can come with disease so watch your back
What is the reason for you misconception
Tearing apart all your deception
You can not shove death from above
In the end I’m not so bad
I can steal all the pain that you’ve ever had
But good nor bad, to me it doesn’t matter
I can come in silence or come with a clatter
What is the reason for you misconception
Tearing apart all your deception
You can not shove death from above
I would live for you, breathe for you, and I would die for you
Don’t always expect the unexpected, don’t let it rule you
What is the reason for you misconception
Tearing apart all your deception
I would live for you, breathe for you, and I would die for you
Don’t always expect the unexpected, don’t let it rule you
