	Story Behind the Song I wrote this song shortly after I met my boyfriend, Mark. It was in the early Fall and I was in my kitchen, the days light gently fading on what had been an unusually warm day. As I stared out my window I was thinking about love and fate and randomness, and I think most of all, hope. By the time the sun had set the song was written, sometimes it's like that... more often than not for me a song takes many shapes before it hardens to a mold. This one was as they say, "set from the get". The phrase standing in the rain to me translates to taking a chance, stepping out of one's comfort zone...allowing fate, chance and hope to guide your heart.
