Story Behind the Song
This song didn't take very long to write. I first wrote this song on acoustic guitar (just like all my other songs) right after I had a fight with my parents. When the band first started out we couldn't play it because we only had acoustic guitars and the keyboard (its not really an unplugged type of song), but once we got drum and bass involved and switched to electric guitars, this song really seemed to rock! You'll just have to listern to it to see what I mean.
Lyrics
Feeling this way makes me,
Want to get up and break away.
With you on my hand i could,
Never be who I really am.
Chorus
Your mind is sheltered from the pouring rain
While I'm Lost, In a pool of blood,
I'll never be who you want me to be and I'll
Never, never be like you.
Were you waiting long before,
You discovered that you were wrong.
I want to be free so I can,
Be the man that I want to be.
Being who I am could,
Only make me a better man.
Why can't you see that I,
Don't belong to you but me.
