	Story Behind the Song The song was inspired by childhood memories of seeing ships towering over the houses at Southampton Docks linked to the decline of the shipyards in the North-East where I now live. Lyrics Cranes stand lifeless a single seagull calls wind whips the docklands while november darkness falls. Memories of childhood the ships above the rooves today in the dusk only darkness moves.
